# Fix log

A short, honest record of data bugs found and fixed. Most data errors are silent — a
broken feed and a blank chart look the same — so the ones that get caught are logged here.

### 2026-06
- **Insurance employment was ~2.25× too high** — it was counting the entire finance sector, not just insurance. Fixed.
- **Unemployment and job-flow (JOLTS) feeds were silently showing blanks** instead of data. Fixed the broken series.
- **The DOL employer-wage feed had returned nothing for months.** Fixed; it now pulls ~1,900 real wage filings.
- **The agent wage was labeled a "mean" but was actually the median.** Relabeled.
- **Visa-filing wages were over-stated as typical pay.** Reframed as a regulatory floor (not market pay) and hidden for tiny samples.
- **Removed all hardcoded "sample" wages.** The site now shows only real data — or nothing.

*The forward-looking version of this: every figure on the site shows its source and date,
heuristics are labeled as heuristics, and if there's no real data, nothing is shown.*
